Enter Standby (Begin Transmitting)The Enter Standby (Begin Transmitting) option allows you to select whether the radar is in Standby Mode or is transmitting. Select Enter Standby to place the radar into Standby Mode. While in Standby Mode, the radar does not transmit, but power remains applied to the Magnetron. Select Begin Transmitting to remove the radar from Standby Mode. After the radar completes “Spinning Up,” the radar begins transmitting.

Radar information can be shown as an overlay on the Map Page. When you overlay radar information on the Map Page, press ADJ/MENU to access radar options.
Note: Changing the map scale does not change the radar range. When you zoom in or our on the Map Page, the radar overlay is scaled to fit.

To overlay radar data on the Map Page:1.On the Map Page, press the Show Radar soft key.
2.To hide the radar overlay, press the Radar Options soft key, and then press the Hide Radar soft key.
