Storing a Name and Number in Memory

1.Press the Store button. ENTER DIGITS shows in the display.

2.Use the touch-tone pad to enter the number you want to store (up to 25 digits).

NOTE: If you make a mistake, press the Delete button to delete the last digit and back one space.

NOTE: You can press the Direct Access Memory button in combination with the digits while enter the digits for memory link.

3.Press the Sel/Save or Store button.

4.Use the touch-tone pad to enter a name (up to 16 characters). More than one letter is stored in each of the number keys. For example, to enter Bill Smith, press the 2 key twice for the letter B. Press the 4 key 3 times for the letter I. Press the 5 key 3 times for the letter L. Press the 5 key 3 times for the second letter L, and press the 1 key to insert a space between the first and last name. Press the 7 key 4 times for the letter S; press the 6 key once for the letter M; press the 4 key 3 times for the letter I; press the 8 key for the letter T; press the 4 key twice for the letter H.

NOTE: If you make a mistake, press the Delete button to delete the last letter and back up one space.

5.Press the Sel/Save or Store button. ENTER LOCATION shows in the display.

6.Enter the memory location:

Press the DIR button to save the record in Directory Memory

OR

Press a One Touch dial button to save the record in Direct Access Memory.

7.For future reference, write the name or number of the parties stored in each location on the corresponding spaces on the memory index card.

NOTE: If you press the Exit button before selecting the location to save the record, it will exit without saving any changes.
