Replacing the Filter Canisters

1.Remove the filter canisters from the manifold by rotating the canisters to the left about 1/3 turn (Fig. 1).

NOTE: A small amount of water from the tubing between the filter and the faucet may come out. A small towel should be able to catch it.

2.Lightly lubricate the three black o-ring seals in the manifold (Fig. 2) with clean food grade silicone grease. Silicone grease is available through GE Parts and Services: 1.800.626.2002, Part Number: WS60X10005.

3.Remove foil on top of new replacement filter canisters. Install the new canisters into the manifold by turning to the right about 1/3 turn until the alignment marks line up and the filter stops. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. The filter will rise up as it is turned.

4.Turn handle on faucet to allow trapped air to purge from the system.

NOTE: System may make noise during this procedure.

5.Check for water leaks around the system.

6.Once water starts to flow out of the faucet, allow the system to run for 4 gallons (approximately 5 minutes) to flush out any harmless carbon fines that may be present.

7.Turn off faucet and check around system for leaks.

8.Remove battery tray and replace battery to reset timer. (See Battery Installation in your system manual for proper procedure).

Remplacement de les cartouches de filtre

1.Enlevez les cartouches de filtre du distributeur en faisant tourner

les cartouches vers la gauche environ 1/3 de tour (Fig. 1). NOTE : Un peu d’eau peut sortir du tuyau entre le filtre et le robinet. Vous pouvez utiliser une serviette pour l’éponger.

2.Lubrifier légèrement les trois joints toriques noirs situés dans le collecteur (Fig. 2) à l’aide d’une graisse de silicone propre de catégorie alimentaire. Procurer la graisse de silicone, appelez le service des pièces de GE : 1.800.626.2002 ou, au Canada, 1.800.361.3869, Numéro de pièce : WS60X10005.

3.Enlevez le feuillet situé en haut de les nouvelles cartouches de filtre de remplacement. Installez les nouvelles cartouches dans le distributeur en la tournant vers la droite environ 1/3 de tour, jusqu’à ce que les marques s’alignement soient alignées et le filtre s’arrête. NE SERREZ PAS TROP. Le filtre se soulève quand vous le tournez.

4.Tournez la poignée du robinet pour purger le système, en permettant à l’air emprisonné de s’échapper.

NOTE : Le système peut faire du bruit pendant cette procédure.

5.Vérifiez qu’il n’y ait pas de fuite d’eau autour du système.

6.Quand l’eau commence à couler du robinet, laissez le système couler pendant 15 L (approximativement 5 minutes) pour éliminer toute fibre de charbon présente.

7.Fermez le robinet et vérifiez autour du système qu’il n’y a pas de fuite.

8.Enlevez le tiroir à pile et remettez en place la batterie pour remettre à zéro la minuterie (consultez la section Installation de la pile dans votre directives de système pour bien mettre en place).

Reemplace los cartuchos del filtro

1.Remueva los cartuchos del filtro del múltiple rotando los cartuchos hacia la izquierda aproximadamente 1/3 de vuelta (Fig. 1). NOTA: Una pequeña cantidad de agua del tubo entre el filtro

y el grifo podría salir. Use una toalla pequeña para capturar este pequeño derrame.

2.Lubrique ligeramente los tres sellos circulares negros en el colector (Fig. 2) con grasa de silicona para cocinar limpia. La grasa de silicona está disponible a través de GE partes y accesorios 1.800.626.2002, Parte número WS60X10005.

3.Remueva el papel aluminio de encima de los nuevos cartuchos de los nuevos filtros de reemplazo. Instale los cartuchos nuevos en el múltiple girándolos hacia la derecha aproximadamente 1/3 de vuelta hasta que queden alineados con las marcas y el filtro se detenga. NO APRIETE DEMASIADO. El filtro se levantará conforme es girado.

4.Gire la empuñadura del grifo para permitir que el aire atrapado se purgue del sistema.

NOTA: Es posible que el sistema haga ruidos durante este procedimiento.

5.Inspeccione en busca de fugas de agua alrededor del sistema.

6.Una vez el agua comience a fluir del grifo, permita que el sistema funcione por aproximadamente 15 L (aproximadamente 5 minutos) para purgar las partículas inofensivas de carbono que puedan estar presentes.

7.Cierre el grifo e inspeccione en busca de fugas alrededor del sistema.

8.Remueva la bandeja de la batería y reemplace la batería para reajustar el sincronizador. (Ver Instalación de la Batería en el Manual de su sistema para el procedimiento de instalación.)
