The Champ’s Sausage Without Guilt

Try this sizzling sausage patty that not only tastes good, but is also good for you. Choose ground turkey breast, which is lower in fat than ground turkey containing dark meat and skin. Turkey, especially the light meat, is a good source of niacin, which is an important B vitamin needed to main- tain a healthy nervous system. Early symptoms of niacin deficiency that appear in the nervous system are apprehension, irritability, depression, weakness, and loss of memory. To prevent niacin deficiency, include plenty of lean turkey, fish, whole wheat, potatoes, corn flower, eggs, broccoli, tomatoes, and carrots.
