If quick release brake lever is down, push up to allow brakes to spread apart so the wheel will fit between the brake pads.

Insert wheel axle all the way into front fork slots.

Hand tighten the nut. Push in the quick release lever. You should feel some resistance from the lever. If not, tighten the nut.

Push quick release brake lever down to tighten brakes. The brake pads should be adjusted to just clear the wheel rim when the brake is not applied. If the brake requires adjustment see “To Adjust Hand Brake”.
