7.3 Cleaning and Maintenance
!TO REMOVE AND WASH INFANT RESTRAINT PAD, follow
instructions in “6.1 Positioning Harness Straps”, p. 26-27.
Carefully remove the seat pad. Machine wash on delicate cycle and
drip-dry. DO NOT USE BLEACH.
Reverse steps to reinstall seat pad. Check that harness system is not
twisted, and pull on harness system to be sure harness is securely
reinstalled.
!INFANTRESTRAINT METAL AND PLASTIC PARTS may be
cleaned by wiping with a mild soap and water solution. DO NOT USE
BLEACH. Use of bleach may weaken plastic parts.
!HARNESSSTRAPSmay be spotcleaned or replaced. DONOT
IMMERSETHEHARNESSSTRAPS INWATER.Doing somay weaken
theharnessstraps.
!BUCKLE may be cleaned with a damp cloth.
!DO NOT LUBRICATEthe buckle.
!DO NOT USE INFANTRESTRAINT without seat pad.
!CONTINUOUS USE OF INFANT RESTRAINT MAYCAUSE
DAMAGE TO VEHICLE SEAT.Use an infant restraint mat, towel
or thin blanket to protect upholstery.
