INSTRUCTIONS |
To reduce the risk of serious personal injury while using this winch:
.Always wear ANSI approved eye protec- tion when operating the winch.
.Be sure the cable is not damaged. If the cable shows any signs of fraying or any other damage, do not use the winch.
.Do not exceed the pulling capacities of the winch.
.Do not stand in line with cable while operating the winch. If the cable breaks it will whip back along this line.
.Keep all loose clothing, hair, jewelry and hands away from winch during operation.
.Use a spotter to help ensure safety when using the winch. Be sure the spot- ter is out of the way of the vehicle and the cable before operating the winch.
.Do not replace the cable with one of lesser strength.
.Do not loop the cable around an object and back to itself. Use a chain or towing strap if necessary.
.Do not use the winch to lift vertical loads. It is designed for horizontal loads only. Lifting vertical loads may cause the winch to fail and drop the load.
.Do not use the winch to support loads for long periods of time.
.Avoid dynamic loading caused by yank- ing or jerking of the cable. This may cause the winch to release its load.
