Cleaning the motor housing:

1.UNPLUG THE MOTOR FROM THE POWER SOURCE!

2.Wipe down the exterior surface of the motor with a cloth soaked in a sanitiz- ing solution. DO NOT submerge the motor in water!

3.Pay particular attention to the throat and grinder head portion of the meat grinder. These areas are not easily removed from the machine and will need to be sanitized manually.

4.Flush or scrape out any large pieces of material left in the throat or grinder head. A 3" round brush may be useful for this procedure.

5.Jam a cloth soaked in sanitizing solu- tion inside the grinder head and throat. Rinse and repeat this step until these areas are totally free of meat residue.

Reduce the risk of electrocution by keeping all connections dry. DO NOT touch plugs with wet hands. DO NOT Submerge in water. Failure to follow these warning could result in serious injury.

Lubrication:

The Model H6247 requires very little lubri- cation. The following steps on the grinder head parts will keep them moving freely and keep them from oxidizing.

1.Be sure to use a non-vegetable base food service lubricant on this machine.

2.Place a small drop of lubricant on the front and rear shanks of the feed screw.

3.Apply a thin film of lubricant to the cut- ter dies to prevent them from rusting.
