operations

do not exceed the 50 psi maximum
operating pressure on your paint tank.
exceeding the maximum pressure
may cause the tank to explode,
causing serious personal injury.
eXplosion hazard! do not
smoke or have any source of flame
or spark near spraying. vapors w ill
explode if ignited.
respiratory hazard! alw ay s u s e
a niosh appr oved resp irator when
using spray equ ipment. failure to
protect your lungs can l ead to respi-
ratory illness and ner vous system
damage. spraying some paints a nd
varnishes may require a su pplied air
respirator system.
toXic fumes! always use an
approved spray booth or well ven-
tilated a rea wh en sp raying. never
spray in an confined space wh ere
toxic fu mes and flammable vapors
can accumulate to deadly levels.
the pressure regulator on the paint tank
controls the amount of pressure in the
paint tank and the spray g un.
the following ar e operating guidelines for
internal and external spray guns:
internal mix guns: use higher tank
pressures up to the full amou nt of air
pressure being delivered to t he spray gun.
however, do no t exceed 50 psi at the
spray gun or in the paint tank.
external mix guns: use lo wer t ank
pressures—approximately 12 psi for m ost
external mix guns. start with the tan k at
"zero" pressure and incr ease pres sure
gradually until th e correct sp ray pattern is
achieved.
