Rail Removal for 30Gb or 40Gb iPod®

SV-iP4G for 4TH Generation iPod® with Click Wheel

-Leave rails in place for the 20Gb iPod®

-Remove rails for the 40Gb iPod®

SV-iP3G for 3RD Generation iPod® with Touch Wheel

-Leave rails in place for the 10Gb/15Gb/20Gb iPod

-Remove rails for the 30Gb and 40Gb iPod®

Step 1: Use a small Phillips screwdriver in a counterclockwise direction to remove the three (3) screws from the rail.

Be very careful not to damage the T-seal with the screwdriver.

Step 2: Once all the screws are removed, gently lift the rail out of the housing. Do not leave any screws in the housing as they may interfere with the accurate closure of the housing.

Step 3: Repeat Steps 1 and 2 for the other rail.
