AIRCONDITIONERUSE

Operating your air conditioner properly helps you to obtain the best possible results.

This section explains proper air conditioner operation.

IMPORTANT:

ʄIf you turn off the air conditioner, wait at least 3 minutes before turning it back on. This keeps the air conditioner from blowing a fuse or tripping a circuit breaker.

ʄDo not try to operate your air conditioner in the Cool mode when outside temperature is below 65°F (18°C). The inside evaporator coil will freeze up, and the air conditioner will not operate properly.

NOTE: In the event of a power failure, your air conditioner will operate at the previous settings when the power is restored.

StartingYourAirConditioner

POWER Turn air conditioner on or off.

SPEED

LOW Low speed fan operate with optional cooling.

HIGH High speed fan operate with optional cooling.

This automatically controls the temperature of indoor air.Turn the knob so that the arrow points to the cooler marks for more moderate cooling.

Normal Fan

1.Turn the SPEED mode switch to the “HI“ or the “LOW“ setting.

2.Set the thermostat control to the “FAN ONLY” setting .

Normal cooling

1.Turn the SPEED mode switch to the “HI“ or the “LOW“ setting.

2.Set the thermostat control to the desired temperature.(The mid-point is a good starting position .)

If the room temperature is not satisfactory after a reasonable time,adjust the control to a cooler setting,as appropriate.

Maximum cooling

1.Turn the SPEED mode switch to the “HI“ setting.

2.Set the thermostat control to the MAX COOL temperature mark.

Quieter operation

1.Turn the SPEED mode switch to the “LOW“ setting.

2.Set the thermostat control as needed.

NormalSounds

When your air conditioner is operating normally, you may hear sounds such as:

ʄDroplets of water hitting the condenser, causing a pinging or clicking sound. The water droplets help cool the condenser.

ʄAir movement from the fan.

ʄClicks from the thermostat cycle.

ʄVibrations or noise due to poor wall or window construction.

ʄA high-pitched hum or pulsating noise caused by the modern
