Cap (20)

1.Remove the Hydraulic Oil Cap (20) and fill the tank with Hydraulic oil (not included) - See Figure F. Remove and retain the O-ring (21).

2.To check the hydraulic oil level, remove the Dipstick connected to the Hydraulic Oil Cap, wipe it clean, then dip it back in. Pull it out once again and check the oil level on the Dipstick.

3.The oil should be at the upper notch of the Dipstick. Be sure that the hydraulic oil level is between 4.5 and 8 gallons. Replace O-ring and Hydraulic Oil Cap.

4.The hydraulic system must be vented during operation or it may become vacuum locked and stop working properly. To vent the system, open the air inlet hole by loosening the Hydraulic Oil Cap. You may have to move the O-ring to expose the air inlet vent.

5.When the Log Splitter is not in operation or being transported, close
