Non-Combustible Finish Materials

0 Inches to 4 Inches Thick Inside Fit Method

Note: The Inside Fit application is only approved for the Tonic decorative front.

The Tonic decorative front is approved for inside ﬁt ap- plications. Non-combustible ﬁnishing materials up to 4 inches thick can be installed around the Tonic front (left, right, top, and bottom). The inside ﬁt method requires an additional 4 in. of 1/2 in. thick non-combustible building material (not supplied with ﬁreplace) to be installed on the left and right sides ﬂush with the factory installed non- combustible board. See Figure 13.15.

WARNING! Risk of Fire! The Martini decorative Front is not approved for inside ﬁt installations. DO NOT install Martini decorative front using an inside ﬁt application. Resulting elevated \temperatures may cause overheating and ﬁre.

For the Tonic decorative front inside ﬁt applications, the decorative front must be installed tightly to the ﬁnishing ﬂanges and must not overlap any ﬁnish material.

Ensure that no non-combustible ﬁnish materials are in- stalled within 3/4 in. of the ﬁreplace opening. The 3/4 in. spacing is required to provide clearance for removing and installing the Tonic decorative front. See Figure 13.16.
