Auto Link

Use this function to automatically switch on the TV and switch it to AV1 or AV5 mode when it detects a video signal from INPUT1 or INPUT5 terminal of the TV. It provides you ease when using with your external equipment.

Connect external equipment to INPUT1 or INPUT5 terminal of the TV. Refer to CONNECTION WITH OTHER EQUIPMENT on page 50, 51 for more information.

Follow the steps on page 21 to enter the Setup menu and select the Auto Link option. Enter the Auto Link menu as shown below. Press the Ÿź cursor buttons to select AV1 or AV5. Then press the ŻŹ cursor buttons to set AV1 or AV5 to On, Auto Link function for the respective inputs will be activated.

(1)To switch on the power connected the signal source of AV1 or AV5 while the set is on. When there is an output from the signal source, the set will switch to AV1 or AV5

from the RF or other AV receiving mode automatically.

Note

1If the performance of your external equipment

connected to AV1 and AV5 on the TV is not reliable, it is recommended to turn off the Auto Link

function to avoid the misoperation.

2If you use your external equipment or the videocassette recorder to perform recording after they are set to On Timer, do not activate Auto Link function to avoid the misoperation.
