 Aunque sea para materiales blandos, deberá realizar el corte recto si desea cortar curvas o cortes bien definidos.
 El polvo y la suciedad acumuladas en la sección de la palanca de cambio puede afectar el funcionamiento de la misma. Limpie periódicamente la sección de la palanca de cambio.

Con esta unidad se pueden seleccionar dos sistemas de corte.
Por un lado el corte recto, en el cual la hoja de sierra se mueve linealmente, y el segundo es el corte de vaivén, en que la hoja de sierra oscila como un péndulo. (Fig. 14, 15)
(1) Corte recto
El corte recto puede realizarse ajustando la palanca de cambio en el sentido de la
anchura. Normalmente el corte recto se utiliza para cortar materiales duros como el metal, etc. (Fig. 14)
(2) Corte de vaivén Podrá realizar el corte de vaivén ajustando
la palanca de cambio en sentido longitudinal. Normalmente el corte de vaivén se utiliza para cortar materiales blandos como madera, etc.
El corte de vaivén puede realizarse
eficientemente dado que la hoja de sierra muerde el material con firmeza (Fig. 15)

PRECAUCION

A bajas velocidades de corte (escala de 1 – 2), nunca corte una tabla de madera de un espesor de más de 25/64" (10 mm) o una chapa de acero dulce de un espesor de más de 5/64" (2 mm). La carga aplicada al motor podría producir recalentamientos y daños.

Aunque esta unidad emplea un motor potente, el uso prolongado a baja velocidad aumentará la carga indebidamente y podría producir recalentamientos. Ajuste la hoja de sierra correctamente para permitir una operación de corte suave y estable, y evitar operaciones innecesarias como paros repentinos durante la operación de corte.
