1. Push the tab to the left of the remote control and hold it, then remove the battery holder.
2.Insert the battery with "+" terminal facing up as shown in the figure.
3.Replace the battery holder with battery in the remote control making sure that it is fully inserted.
Identifying Controls1. Recorder's Remote Control
The shaded buttons on the remote control have the same functions as the corresponding buttons on the camcorder.
2. S.EDIT (Synchro Edit) Button (only on the remote control)
Use this button to activate the synchro edit function for dubbing ("Using Synchro Edit", P.46).
3. TITLE ON/OFF Button (only on the remote control)
Use this button to create and record titles for your tapes ("Creating and Recording a Title," p.43).
4.COUNTER RESET Button (only on the remote control) Use this button to reset the linear timer counter to 0:00:00.
5.DISPLAY Button
Use this button to select the viewfinder and TV display ("Using the Display Button," p.42). This button can be used instead of the DATE/TITLE button on the camcorder in the VIDEO mode.
6. A/V DUB BUTTON (only on the remote control)
Use this button to record new audio and video over existing audio and video.
Remote Control RangeUse the wireless remote control to operate the camcorder from a distance. The PLAY, F.FWD, REW, STOP, PAUSE (START/STOP) and ZOOM buttons on the wireless remote control operate the functions of the corresponding buttons on the camcorder. Aim the wireless remote control at the infrared receiver of the camcorder.
