OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Your heater is equipped with a technologically advanced 1 Touch™ electronic thermostat. You can set the heater to run continuously in man- ual mode or set the 1 Touch™ Thermostat to your desired temperature setting. The 1 Touch™ thermostat will automatically turn the heater ON or OFF depending on the preset comfort level. The comfort level ranges between 60º and 80º Fahrenheit.

Manual Mode Instructions:

1.Plug the heater into a 120V AC electrical outlet.

2.To start the unit, push the MODE/OFF button once for the HIGH (1500 Watts) manual setting. (See fig. #1 and #2)

3.Press the button again for the LOW (1000 Watts) manual setting. (See fig. #1 and #2)

4.To stop the unit, press and hold the button for two seconds or keep pressing the button until all the temperature indicators are OFF.

Note: The Power Light will remain lit while the unit is plugged in. In Manual Mode, only the LOW or HIGH power light will be lit.

Note: 1 Touch™ has memory. The 1 Touch™ Thermostat will remember the previous temperature setting after the unit has been turned off. However, if the unit is unplugged, the 1 Touch™ Thermostat will be reset and will no longer remember the previous temperature setting.

CLEANING/MAINTENANCE

During Season Care:

1.Always unplug the heater, before moving or cleaning.

2.Carefully wipe the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Please be very cautious near the motor and heating elements.

3.NEVER use abrasive or flammable solvents to clean the unit.

4.After cleaning, be sure to completely dry the unit with a cloth or towel.

After Season Care:

1.Store heater in a cool, dry location.

2.Holmes recommends that you store the unit in its original carton.

1 TOUCH™ THERMOSTAT INSTRUCTIONS

To take advantage of the 1 Touch™ Thermostat continue to press the MODE/OFF button until the desired temperature is set in either the HIGH (1500 Watt) or LOW (1000 Watt) setting. When ambient temperature rises above the set temperature, the heater will stop. When the ambient temperature drops below the set temperature, the heater will turn on automatically.

Note: When the 1 Touch™ thermostat is set, either the HIGH or LOW power light, and the set temperature light will remain lit during opera- tion. (See fig. #1 and #2)

Note: It is normal for the heater to cycle ON and OFF as it maintains the preset temperature. To prevent the unit from cycling, you need to raise the thermostat setting.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If your heater fails to operate:

Make sure the electrical outlet or circuit breaker is working.

Check for obstructions. If you find an obstruction turn the heater OFF, and UNPLUG THE UNIT. Carefully remove the obstruction and follow the reset instructions.

The thermostat might be set too low. Press the MODE/OFF button until the heater restarts.

Please DO NOT attempt to open or repair the heater. Please see the Warranty for Service Instructions.
