Manual Mode Instructions:

1.Plug the heater into a 120V AC electrical outlet.

2.To start the unit, push the MODE button once for the HIGH (1500 Watts) manual setting. (See fig. #1 and #2)

3.Press the button again for the LOW (1000 Watts) manual setting. (See fig. #1 and #2)

4.To stop the unit, press and hold the button for two seconds or keep pressing the button until all the temperature indicators are OFF.

Note: The Power Light will remain lit during operation. In Manual Mode, only the LOW or HIGH power light will be lit.

1 Touch Thermostat Instructions:

To take advantage of the 1 Touch Thermostat continue to press the MODE button until the desired temperature is set in either the HIGH (1500 Watt) or LOW (1000 Watt) setting. When ambient temperature rises above the set temperature, the heater will stop. When the ambient temperature drops below the set temperature, the heater will turn on automatically.

Note: When the 1 Touch thermostat is set, either the HIGH or LOW power light, and the set temperature light will remain lit during operation. (See fig. #1 and #2)

Note: It is normal for the heater to cycle ON and OFF as it maintains the preset temperature. To prevent the unit from cycling, you need to raise the thermostat setting.

Note: 1 Touch has memory. The 1 Touch thermostat will remember the previous temperature setting after the unit has been turned off. However, if the unit is unplugged, the 1 Touch thermostat will be reset and will no longer remember the previous temperature setting.

During Season Care:

1.Always unplug the heater before cleaning.

2.Clean the unit with a soft cloth moistened with a mild soap solution.

3.NEVER use abrasive or flammable solvents to clean the unit.

4.After cleaning, be sure to completely dry the unit with a cloth or towel.

After Season Care:

1.Store heater in a cool, dry location.

2.Holmes recommends that you store the unit in its original carton.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If your heater fails to operate:

UNPLUG THE UNIT.

Make sure the electrical outlet or circuit breaker is working.

Check for obstructions. If you find an obstruction turn the heater OFF, and unplug the unit. Carefully remove the obstruction and follow the reset instructions.

The temperature may be set too low. Press the MODE button until heater restarts.
