Engine Oil
Slowly pull the starter grip until resistance is felt. At this point, the
piston is coming up on its compression stroke and both theintake
and exhaust valves are closed. Storing the engine in this position
will help to protect it from internal corrosion. Return the starter grip
gently.
Pull the starter gripseveral times to distribute the oil in the cylinder.
Remove the spark plug (see page ).
Change the engine oil (see page ).
After all the gasoline has drained into the container, tighten the
drain bolt securely.
After all the gasoline has drained into the container, tighten the
drain screwsecurely.
Place a suitable gasoline container below the sediment cup, and use
a funnel to avoid spilling gasoline.
Remove the sediment cup (see page ), and then turnthe f uel
valve lever to the ON position.
Allow the gasoline to drain completely, and then install the
sediment cup (seepage ).
Reinstall the spark plug.
Pour a teaspoon (5 10 cc) of clean engine oil intothe cylinder.
