5. OPERATION
Starting the engine
Exhaust contains poisonous carbon monoxide gas that can cause loss of
consciousness and may lead to death. Never run the engine in an enclosed
area. Be sure to provide adequate ventilation.
1. Sit on the seat and check that the parking brake lever is set, the
transmission is in neutral and the P.T.O. lever is in the OFF (disengaged)
position.
2. Move the throttle lever to the START (CHOKE) position.
NOTE: When the engine is warm or the air temperature is high, move
the throttle lever to SLOW.
