Turning On Your System

for the First Time

If your notebook is a single-language model, the software setup will take about 10 minutes. If it is a multilanguage model, the software setup may take as long as 30 minutes, depending on the language you select. Use the arrow keys to make the language selection, then press F10, which is located in the top row of the keyboard.

During software setup, the system may seem to pause on certain screens for up to 2 minutes. It will also restart several times during the setup process.

✎During these pauses, the notebook is setting up your hardware, software, and hard drive file systems. This is normal for the first time that you turn on your notebook.

After the registration is complete, the system will restart, and the file conversion screen will appear. When the file conversion is complete and the desktop is displayed, the notebook is ready to use.
