Before removing the TouchPad button board, remove the following components:

1.Battery (see Battery on page 37)

2.Service access cover (see Service access cover on page 38)

3.Hard drive (see Hard drive on page 39)

4.Optical drive (see Optical drive on page 41)

5.Keyboard (see Keyboard on page 47)

6.Top cover (see Top cover on page 49)

Remove the TouchPad button board:

1.Release the zero insertion force (ZIF) connector (1) to which the TouchPad button board cable is attached, and then disconnect the cable (2) from the TouchPad.

2.Slide the TouchPad bracket to the left (3) and then remove it.

3.Remove the TouchPad button board (4).

Reverse the above procedure to reassemble and install the TouchPad button board.
