WARNING: When using this device, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and injury to persons, including the following:

•Do not use this product near water, for example, near a bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink or laundry tub, in a wet basement or near a swimming pool.

•Always disconnect the modem cable before opening the equipment enclosure or touching an uninsulated modem cable, plug or internal components.

•If this product was not provided with a telephone cable, use only No. 26 AWG or larger telecommunication cable in order to reduce the risk of fire.

AC Power Safety Warning

WARNING: Install the computer near a

AC. outlet. The AC. power cable is your Compaq Presario’s main AC disconnecting device, and must be easily accessible at all times. For your safety, the power cable provided with your system has a grounded plug. Always use the power cable with a properly grounded wall outlet, to avoid the risk of electrical shock.
