Followingare instructionsfor the installationof this accessory.Before you startinstallation, we encourageyou to read

Inaddition to thehardware suppliedwith your transducer,you will need varioushand tools.

Installation

The trolling motor transducer is designed to mount on the trollingmotor of your boat. All hardware needed for
installationand operation of this Humminbird®accessory is either included with thisaccessory or came with your
originaltransducer. Thetrolling motor mounted transducerallows you to gathersonar information from thepoint on
the boat closest to where youare fishing. It is important that you properly orient the transducer housing in the
directionof travelof the trolling motor,to ensure an accuratedepiction of theterrain under your boat.
Thetrolling motor mountedtransducer will fit anystandard trolling motorhousing. Some users installthis transducer
in conjunctionwith a switch so thatthe standard transducer canbe used for high-speed operation,and the trolling
motortransducercan be used while trolling.
1. Attaching the Transducer
WARNING!Beforeattaching the transducerto the trollingmotor, confirm thatthe motor is disconnectedfrom all sources of
electricalpower.
CAUTION!Beforeattaching the transducerto the trollingmotor, make surethe trolling motor is properlysecured to theboat
andwill not shiftduring transducerinstallation.
1. Positionthe transduceron the undersideof the motor housing.Refer to the illustrationthat most resemblesyour
accessory,notingany requirements for directionalbias.
NOTE: Round, circular-bottomed transducers have no directional bias, and therefore orientation of these types of
transducers is not as important. Rounded rectangulartransducers, however, do have a directional bias, and must be
installedasshown in the illustration.

Transducershould be mounted forward of the motor shaft. Styles of transducer may differ from illustration.
NOTE:Your transducermay not look exactly likethe transducer shownin the illustrations,but it will mount in exactlythe
sameway.
