16:9 video in a 4:3 display in NORMAL/LB mode
NORMAL/LB mode leaves the top and the bottom black to remain the original ratio of 16:9 video.
16:9 video in a 4:3 display in NORMAL/PS mode
NORMAL/PS mode crops the left and right side of image to eliminate the black stripes. The image will remain the original ratio
16:9 video in a 4:3 display in WIDE mode
WIDE mode lengthens the video image to eliminate the black stripes. The image will not remain the original ratio
The best display result is playing a 16:9 video in a 16:9 display in WIDE mode, the result will like the picture below:
