INITIAL SETTING AFTER INSTALLATION
The following describes how to correct the water temperature detected by the
temperature sensor.
qSelect “SETTING” on the Setting SETMODE using the [UP] or [DOWN] key and
press the [SET] key.
The SETTING screen will appear.
wSelect “TEMP ADJ” using the [UP] or [DOWN] key and press the [SET] key.
The current water temperature is indicated in the temperature setting field on the
SETTING screen.
eEnter the desired value into the temperature setting field using the [UP] or
[DOWN] key and press the [SET] key.
The setting is saved.
*The permissible correction range is “–20 to +20”.
rWhen you finish correcting the water temperature, press the [MENU] key.
You will return to the SETMODE screen.
The build-in GSP receiver of the system receives signals from the GPS, and the
GPS uses the WGS-84 geodetic reference system, a global geodetic reference
system.
The following describes how to select the geodetic reference system of nautical
charts you currently use, in order to avoid positioning errors due to differences
between the nautical charts and the WGS-84. (see pgs. 77, 78; DATUM TABLE)
qSelect “SETTING” on the SETMODE screen using the [UP] or [DOWN] key and
press the [SET] key.
The SETTING screen will appear.
wSelect “DATUM” using the [UP] or [DOWN] key and press the [SET] key.
eMove the geodetic system setting filed using the [LEFT] or [RIGHT] key.
The selected digit in the field is highlighted in yellow.
rEnter the value corresponding to the nautical charts you currently use using the
[UP] or [DOWN] key and press the [SET] key.
The setting is saved.
tWhen you finish setting geodetic data, press the [MENU] key.
You will return to the SETMODE screen.
The following describes how to correct the ship or destination bearing that
will be displayed on the coastline screen or other screens.
•TRUE; True bearing, MAG; Magnetic bearing
qSelect “SETTING” on the SET MODE screen using the [UP] or [DOWN] key and
press the [SET] key.
The SETTING screen will appear.
wSelect “BEARING” using the [UP] or [DOWN] key and press the [SET] key.
eSelect “Tru e” or “Magnetic” using the [LEFT] or [RIGHT] key and press [SET]
key.
The setting is saved.
rWhen you finish setting the azimuth, press the [MENU] key.
You will return to the SETMODE screen.
