Ikelite Video Cases are slightly negative
in salt water for stability. This housing has
been water pressure tested at the factory
and has a working depth of 60m (200').

The internal lens shade helps block light refle ction/
refraction cau sed by the interaction of the ex ternal color
filter and th e port.
Carefully thre ad the lens shade on the front of the
camera lens. Th e lens thr eads are ve ry fine; DDOO NNOOTTcross thread. It sh ould screw on
very easily. If it is di fficult to turn, you ar e cross thr eading.
Completely thr ead the len s shade int o the came ra to avoid any potent ial
clearance or sealing prob lems when t he camera i s installed and the h ousing is s ealed.

See exactly w hat the cam era sees u nderwater us ing the cam era's electr onic
viewfinder in conjunction with the Ikelite Super -Eye, which i s permanentl y mounted
in the eyepor t on the clear back plate. The Su per-Eye exten ds the vie wfinder imag e
to provide en hanced viewi ng underwate r.

The camera's LCD monitor can be vi ewed from t he rear of the housing , using the
external mirro r featured on the side of the h ousing.
Open the LCD monitor on the camera, rotate 180°, and then press it back against
the side of the camera. The external mirror is hinged so that it can be opened to reflect
the image from the camera's LCD monitor for viewing from the rear of the housing. But
this will kee p the eye piece turne d off and the LCD im age will ap pear opposit e, left
to right.
During transpo rtation, pleas e remember to close th e mirror by pressing it against
the side of the housing .

Install a fully charged Sony battery on the camera:
Canon NB-2LH, BP-2L13, BP-2L14
Other brand batteries may not fit inside the housing.
Make sure you have loaded an appropriate digital cassette tape in the camera.
