This appendix defines the serial cable requirements for connecting the printer to your DOS or
UNIX based systems. It also includes instructions for setting serial communication parameters.
Parallel cable
You can use any parallel cable which meets IEEE 1284 standards.
RS-232 cable requirements
You may build this cable or purchase it from ENCAD, Inc. For connecting to an Apple Macintosh,
use the standard ImageWriter II cable.
