Connecting a basic home theater system

Using digital audio

To connect a basic home theater system using digital audio:
1Make sure that your TV’s power adapter is unplugged and the home theater system is turned off.
2Connect a digital coaxial audio cable (not provided) to the DIGITALOUTPUT jack on the back of your TV and to
the coaxial AUDIO I N jack on the digital home theater system.
3Plug your TV’s power cord into a power outlet, then turn on your TV.
4Turn on the home theater system or sound bar, then set it to the correct source. For more information, see the
documentation that came with the home theater system or sound bar.
5On your TV, set the Digital Audio/SPDIF option on the AUDIO menu to PCM. For more information, see
“Adjusting sound settings” on page45.
