License information on the software used in the Integra HD DVD player

This document is statement purpose only. Not concerned with operation of this product.

The software pre-inst alled in the Integra HD DVD player consist s of multiple, independent sof tware components. Each sof tware component is
copyrighted by Onkyo or a third p arty.
The Integra HD DVD player uses softwar e components that are distribu ted as freeware under a third-par ty end-user license agre ement or
copyright notice (herein after referred to as a “EULA”).
Some EULAs require that the sou rce code of the applicable c omponent be disclosed as th e condition for distributi ng the software component
in executable format. Please co ntact the dealer from whom you purc hased this unit to check the sof tware components subjec t to such EULA
requirements.
Onkyo provides a warranty fo r the Integra HD DVD player you have purchased under c onditions set forth by Onk yo.
However, some of the software compon ents distributed under an EULA ar e made available for use by the user on the as sumption that
they are not copyrighted or warrante d by Onkyo or any third party. These sof tware components are licen sed to the user free of charge and
therefore not covered by any warranty wi thin the scope of the applica ble laws. These software comp onents are not subject to any copyri ghts
or other third-party r ights and are provided in “as is” co ndition without any warranty, wheth er express or implied.“Warranty ” here includes, but
not limited to, an implied warrant y for marketability or fitness for s pecific uses. All risks asso ciated with the quality or per formance of these
software components ar e assumed by the user. Onkyo shall not be lia ble whatsoever for any cost of repair or cor rection or other incidenta l
expense incurred in connec tion with a defect found in any of thes e software components. Un less specified under the app licable laws or in a
written agreement, a part y who changes or redistribu tes the software with consent f rom the copyright holders or bas ed on the aforementioned
licenses shall not be held lia ble whatsoever for any loss arising from t he use of or inability to use such s oftware components. The s ame applies
even when the copyright holder s or relevant third parties have been info rmed of the possibility of su ch loss. “Loss” here inclu des normal,
special, incidental an d indirect loss (includin g, but not limited to, the loss of data or its a ccuracy; loss incurred by the u ser or any third party;
and interface incompati bility with other software ). Please read each EULA for detail s on the use conditions and item s that must be observed
regarding these softwar e components.
The table below lists the sof tware components pre-i nstalled in the Integra HD DVD player, which are sub ject to EULAs. The user should rea d
the applicable EULAs car efully before using these soft ware components. The EULAs are exh ibited in their original text ( English) as exactly
written by the respective par ties other than Onkyo
