6.1ESB6300 RAID Drivers for Windows XP

Currently no Microsoft* signed SATA RAID Drivers exist for Windows XP*. Drivers are available for the ESB6300 SATA RAID functionality from the Intel support website at http://support.intel.com/support/motherboards/server.

6.2SATA RAID and x16 PCI-E usage

Due to limited Option ROM space in the BIOS, the SATA option ROM does not appear during post when certain x16 PCI-E graphics cards are installed. Several cards using the various nVidia chipsets seem to have this problem. Disabling the onboard NIC does free up enough option ROM space to utilize both these devices at the same time. Intel is investigating a BIOS fix for this issue. Check the support website for updated BIOS to resolve this conflict.

6.3Adaptec Fireconnect 4300 FireWire Card usage

There are three versions of the Adaptec* Fireconnect* 4300 FireWire card. These versions, among other things, implement PCI pins A60 & B60 differently, as follows:
