Alpha-Numeric Keys

The Star Pilot 6 is equippedwith an alpha-numerickeypad.The alpha-numerickel,padconsistsof l2 pushbuttonsEach. buttttnis labeledwith a number.lettersor s1'mbolAll. alphabetandnumber entriesaremadeusingtheAlpha-NumericKevpadasshownbelow. The displayscreenshowsyou rvherethe letteris to bc entcredby the highlightedcurs()rposition .

I t i m e - 1 2 t i m e s = A 3 t i m e s = B . 1t i m e s = C andetc.for otherkeysandalpha-numericcharactersA. spaceis enteredby pressingKey #0 two times.

PresstheRightArrow on theAlpha-NurnericKeypadto moveto the nextletterentry.You may edit or correctan entryby usingeitherthe Lefi or RightAmow Key to theletterpositionandchangingtheentry.

Common SoftkeyFunctions

On someof thedisplayscreensseenduringoperationof theStar Pilot 6. you will notea recurrenceof the followrngsofkeylabels. Their functionsareidenticalin whicheverMODE is beingused.

Whenthe MENU softkeyis pressedthe. Star Pilot 6 will returnto the Menu ScreenIf. you havebeenin a displayin which you were enteringinformation,andthenpressthc MENU softkey.the Star Pilot 6 will returnto theMenu Screenwith no changesbeingentered. Useof theMENU softkeyis alwaysrequiredin orderto move the Star Pilot 6 from one Mode to another.
