1. Turntheflowrateknobtothesettingprescribedbyyour
physicianortherapist.
WARNING
DONOTchangetheL/minsettingontheflowmeterunlessa
changehasbeenprescribedbyyourphysicianortherapist.
NOTE:Toproperlyreadtheflowmeter,locatetheprescribed
flowratelineontheflowmeter.Next,turntheflowknobuntilthe
ballrisestotheline.Now,centertheballontheL/minline
prescribed.
2. Iftheflowrateontheflowmetereverfallsbelow0.5L/minfor
morethanaboutoneminute,theLOWFLOWalarmwillbe
triggered.Thisisarapidbeepingoftheaudiblealarm.Check
yourtubingoraccessoriesforblockedorkinkedtubingora
defectivehumidifierbottle.Afterratedflowisrestoredtomore
than0.5L/min,theLOWFLOWaudiblealarmwillgooff.
NOTE:Theuseofsomeaccessoriessuchasthepediatricflowstand
andtheHomeFillcompressorwilldeactivatetheLowFlowAlarm.
