11.2 Draining and Refilling

About every 3 to 6 months, you will want to replace the spa’s water. The fre- quency depends on a number of variables including the amount of use, atten- tion paid to water quality maintenance, etc. You will know it is time for a change when you cannot control sudsing and/or you can no longer get the normal feel or sparkle to the water even though the key water balance mea- surements are all within the proper parameters.

WARNING! READ THIS BEFORE DRAINING: To prevent damage to the spa’s components, turn off power to the spa at the circuit breaker before draining it. Do not turn the power back on until your spa has been refilled.

CAUTION: There are certain precautions to keep in mind when draining your spa. If it is extremely cold, and the spa is outdoors, freezing could occur in the lines or the equipment (see “WINTER- IZING”, Page 34. On the other hand, if it is hot outdoors, do not leave the spa’s surface exposed to direct sunlight.

To drain your spa, perform the following steps:

1.Turn off power to spa at breaker.

2.Locate drain valve on front/lower plastic pan. Hold larger (rear) body to prevent it from turning, then loosen and remove the front cap to expose underlying male hose threads.

3.Attach garden hose to exposed threads.

4.Gently rotate larger (rear) valve body 1/3 turn counterclockwise to unlock drain valve.

5.Pull larger (rear) body outward to open drain.

6.After spa drains, perform steps 2-5 in reverse order to close drain prior to refilling spa.

After refilling, turn on power to the spa and follow the steps listed under “Start-Up Instructions.” Always fill your spa through both filter wall fittings (page 12).

2003+ specifications

Jacuzzi hot tubs, often synonymous with relaxation and luxury, have evolved significantly since 2003, introducing a range of impressive features and technologies that enhance the user experience. Known for their innovative designs and cutting-edge technology, Jacuzzi has positioned itself as a leader in the market, making their products more appealing for both personal and therapeutic use.

One of the standout features of Jacuzzi tubs from 2003 onwards is the incorporation of advanced hydrotherapy. This technology utilizes strategically placed jets to provide customized massage experiences. The adjustable jets allow users to target specific muscle groups, helping to relieve tension and promote relaxation. Furthermore, certain models include pulsating jets that create a soothing, spa-like experience, allowing users to unwind after a long day.

Another significant characteristic of Jacuzzi hot tubs is their energy efficiency. Many models come equipped with advanced insulation and energy-saving components, ensuring that the water heats quickly and maintains temperature effectively. This innovation not only helps in reducing electricity bills but also minimizes environmental impact, making it an attractive choice for eco-conscious consumers.

The Jacuzzi brand is also focused on user-friendly experiences. The introduction of digital control panels has transformed how users interact with their hot tubs. These easy-to-use interfaces allow for precise control over temperature, lighting, and jet functions, enhancing the overall experience. Some models even feature Bluetooth connectivity, enabling users to stream music directly from their devices, creating a more engaging and enjoyable atmosphere.

Additionally, Jacuzzi has placed a strong emphasis on design aesthetics. The tubs come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and finishes, catering to diverse tastes and home landscapes. Whether installed indoors or outdoors, these hot tubs are crafted to enhance the beauty of their environments.

Lastly, safety features have become a priority in Jacuzzi models. Non-slip surfaces, secure handrails, and improved drainage systems are just a few examples of the consideration given to ensuring the wellbeing of users.

In conclusion, Jacuzzi hot tubs released from 2003 and beyond offer a harmonious blend of luxury, technology, and user-oriented design. With their focus on hydrotherapy, energy efficiency, smart controls, aesthetic appeal, and safety, Jacuzzi continues to set the standard for relaxation and wellness in the home spa industry.
