I _ SURFACE BURNER GRATE

The surface burnergrates are madeof porcelain on cast -- iron. Therefore, the grates can be washed in the sink

with mild detergents and a ptasticscrubberor washed in -- the dishwasher.

When replacing the grates, place the rear grate on with -- the grate guide toward the front. Then, add the front grate by positioninggrate guide underthe reargrate and lowering onto the cooktop.

Althoughthe burnergrate is durable, it will gradually lose -- its shine and/or discolor regardless of the care you take -- of it. This is due to its exposure to the high temperature of the gas flames.

To preserve the porcelain enamet finish as tong as possible, have a pan on the grate before you turn onthe burner, andlower the flamewhen food reachesthe desired cooking temperature.
