This appliance,when installed,must be electricallygroundedin accordancewithlocalcodesor,intheabsenceof localcodes,withthe NationalElectricalCodeANSI/NFPANo.70-latestEdition,or,inCanada, currentCSAStandardC22.1CanadianElectricalCode,Part1.

Allsupplypiping,exceptas noted,shouldusecommonNationalPipe Thread(N.P.T.)For.all pipeconnectionsusean approvedpipejoint compoundrasistantotheactionofLP gas.

Thisapplianceisdesignedtooperateat a pressureof 5 inchesofwater columnon naturalgasor,if convertedforusewithLPgas(propaneor butane),10incheswatercolumnMakesurethis.applianceissuppliedwith andadjustedforthetypeofgasforwhichit isdesigned.

Thisappliancewasadjustedatthefactoryorusewithnaturalgas.If,atany time,thisapplianceistobe usedwitha differenttypeof gas,all ofthe conversionadjustmentsdescribedonpages5 and7 mustbemadebya qualifiedservicetechnicianbeforeattemptingtooperatethecooktopon thatgas.Naturalgasshouldbesuppliedtotheappliancepressureregulator ata linepressurbetween6 and14inchesofwatercolumnor,ifconverted forIF'gas,between11and14 inches,

INpievertightentopejointcompoundmoreasthan35istanttotheactionofLPf -lbsoftorqueAl. wgasysuseanapproved.

Installtheapplianceinitscountercutout.

Makethegasconnectiontotheinletof theappliancpressureregulator with1/2"malepipethreads.

Installa manualshut-offvalvein anaccessiblelocationn thegasline aheadoftheappliancepressureregulatorndexternaltothisappliaocfore thepurposefturningonorshuttingoffgastotheappliance.

Makeadditionpipeal connectionsasnecessaryaheadoftheshut-offvalve tothegassupplysourceAssu.reallpipejointconnectionsaregastight.

IMPORTANT

Applya non-corrosiveleakdetectionfluidtoalljointsandfittingsinthe gasconnectionbetweenthesupplylineshut-offvalveandtherange. Includegasfittingsandjointsintherangeifconnectionsweredisturbed duringinstallationCheckforl.eaksBubblesappearingoundfittings! andconnectionswillindicatea leakI.f a leakappearstu, rnoffsupplyline

gasshut-offvalve,tightenconnections,turnonthesupplylinegasshut offvalve,andretestforleaks.Nevertestforgas leakswithan open flame.
