●Some sample images have been stored in thememory at the factory. If you wish to delete them, first remove the “Protecting Images” function ( pg. 32), then perform the “Deleting Images” function ( pg.
33).●If a Snapshot is taken while the camcorder is in the WIDE mode ( pg. 41), the Snapshot image is recorded without the black bars at the top and bottom of the screen.
●When you shoot in a dark environment, the still image will become coarse and its true colors will be lost.
●During the D.S.C. recording, the Zooming ( pg. 20), Picture Stabilizer ( pg. 20) and Video Light
( pg. 21) functions can be operated.●Still images are taken in a format based on JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group).
●When you use the LCD monitor outdoors under direct sunlight, the LCD monitor may be difficult to see. If this happens, close the LCD monitor and use the viewfinder instead.
●To store the still images you shot, we recommend thatyou transfer them to a computer and save them on disk ( pg. 34), or transfer them to a VCR connected to the camcorder and record them onto a tape.

To remove the still image you have checked (Instant Delete) . . .Press 4/6while the message “DELETE OK? PRESS PLAY BUTTON” is displayed.
