CORRECTIVE ACTION
Re-perform the clock and/or timer
settings.
Press ‰ and confirm that "‰" is
displayed on the display panel.
Timer programming can’t be
performed while a timer recording is
in progress. Wait until it finishes.
VHS deck
Load a cassette with the Record
Safety tab intact, or cover the hole
using adhesive tape.
DV deck
Load a cassette with the erase
protection switch set to "REC".
Remove the cassette and cover the
hole with adhesive tape, or insert a
cassette with the Record Safety tab
intact.
Remove the cassette and set the erase
protection switch to "REC".
Check the programmed data and re-
program as necessary, then press ‰
again.
The programme may not have been
recorded in its entirety. Next time
make sure you have enough time on
the tape to record the entire
programme.
SYMPTOM
1. Timer recording won’t work.
2. Timer programming is not possible.
3. "‰" and "]" on the display panel
won’t stop blinking.
4. The cassette is automatically
ejected, and "‰" and "]" on the
display panel won’t stop blinking.
5. "‰" blinks for 10 seconds and the
Timer mode is disengaged.
6. The cassette is automatically
ejected, the power shuts off and
"‰" and "]" won’t stop blinking.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
●The clock and/or the timer have
been set incorrectly.
●The timer is not engaged.
●Timer recording is in progress.
●The timer is engaged but there’s no
cassette loaded.
●VHS deck
The loaded cassette has had its
Record Safety tab removed.
●DV deck
The loaded cassette has had its erase
protection switch set to "SAVE".
●‰ has been pressed when there are
no programs in memory, or the timer
record information has been
programmed incorrectly.
●The end of the tape was reached
during timer recording.
TIMER RECORDING
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Confirm that the camcorder is
properly connected.
Set the input mode to "L-1", "L-2" or
"L-3".
Set "SOUND MODE" to "32kHz" at
the original recording (Z pg. 31).
Set the tape speed to SP at the
original recording.
Monitor the sound using the
connected devices.
Perform Random Assemble Editing
again.
●Dubbing from the NTSC tape to the
Mini DV tape is not possible.
●Dubbing from the NTSC tape to the
Mini DV tape is not possible.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
●The camcorder has not been
properly connected.
●The input mode is not correct.
●"SOUND MODE" on the DV Mode
Set Menu had been set to "48kHz" at
the original recording.
●The tape speed had been set to LP at
the original recording.
●This is normal.
●The memory backup time has
expired.
●This is normal.
●The NTSC tape is played back on
the VHS deck.
●The NTSC tape is played back on
the VHS deck.
SYMPTOM
4. Camcorder recording is not
possible.
5. Audio dubbing is not possible.
6. Monitoring the audio-dubbed
sound is not possible during audio
dubbing using the DV deck.
7. The programmed memory of
Random Assmble Editing is
disappeared.
8. When performing Tape Dubbing,
the beginning of the dubbing start
point is not dubbed.
9. When starting Tape Dubbing, the
recorder stops dubbing after a few
seconds and ejects both the VHS
and Mini DV tapes.
10.When starting Normal Dubbing,
the recorder stops dubbing after a
few seconds.
RECORDING
