Important notes regarding operation

The following section contains important informa- tion as to the operation, place of installation and connection of the receiver.

Read these notes carefully before putting the unit into operation.

Extended absence/thunderstorms

Always disconnect the unit from the power and cable networks during periods of extended ab- sence or at the onset of thunderstorms. This also applies to any other equipment connected to the modem.

Mains connection

Make certain that the mains lead is undamaged. Never put the unit into operation if the mains lead or plug-in power supply is damaged. Do not use any power supply other than the one supplied with the unit.

Cleaning

Disconnect the modem from the mains before cleaning it. Use a dry cloth for cleaning. Clean the surface only.

On no account open the unit‘s housing. On touch- ing parts within the unit there is a risk of electric shock.

Children at play

Pay attention that children do not insert objects into the ventilation slots. There is a risk of mortal danger due to electric shock.
