OPERATING THE ON/OFF SWITCH

Push the ON/OFF switch forward	ON OFF
to turn the vacuum ON.

Release the ON/OFF switch to turn the vacuum OFF.

CLEANING THE DUST CUP

TO REMOVE THE DUST CUP:

• Hold the vacuum vertically with the handle pointed up to prevent dust from spilling out.

• Push on the dust cup release button and pull the dust cup free.

• Reach inside the dust cup and remove the filter bracket.

• Clean out the dust cup. If necessary, wash with mild soap and water.

• Put the filter back into the top of the dust cup.

• Make sure filter and cup are both completely dry before reattaching the dust cup.

• Empty the dust cup after each use.

REATTACHING THE DUST CUP

TO ATTACH THE DUST CUP:

Hold down the dust cup release button while pushing the dust cup back onto the vacuum. Once the dust cup is properly seated, release the button and the dust cup will lock into place.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

Always remove the battery pack before attempting clean- ing or maintenance.

Do not use paint thinner or any other chemicals to clean the vacuum case. Harsh

solvents may damage the plastic. Use only mild soap and water for cleaning.

Hold the filter bracket over a trash can to knock loose any debris caught in the filter. If the filter is really dirty, wash with warm water and mild soap.

Clean case with a damp cloth. Paper towels and wire brushes may scratch the plastic.

To prevent risk of electric shock, make sure that all parts are completely dry before use.

For mechanical problems, consult an authorized technician. Do not attempt to

repair the vacuum yourself.

ACCESSORIES

Use only accessories that are recommended by the manufacturer for your model.

Accessories that may be suitable for one tool may become hazardous when used on another tool.

Always attach grounded (3-prong) extension cords to grounded (3-hole) outlets.

If you must use an extension cord, be sure that the gauge is large enough to carry the amount of current necessary for your power tool. If not, your tool may experi- ence a loss of power, excessive voltage drop or overheating. The smaller the gauge number, the heavier the cord (see table below).
