Turning Grill Off
.Turnall knobsto OFF position. Turn LP tank offby turning
OPDhand wheel clockwiseto a full stop.
Ignitor Check
Turn gas off at LP tank. Press and hold ignitor button. "Click"
shouldbe heardand spark seen each time between collector
boxor burnerand electrodes.See "Troubleshooting"if no click
or spark.
Valve Check
• important: Makesure gas is off at LP tank before checking
valves. Knobs lock in OFF position.To check valves, first
pushin knobsand release,knobs should springback. Ifknobs
do not spring back, replace valveassembly beforeusing grill.
Turnknobs to LO positionthen turnback to OFF position.
Valvesshould turn smoothly.
General Grill Cleaning
,Keep the outsideof your grill lookingnew by cleaningit once a
monthwith warmsoap andwater or a non-abrasive cleaner. If
youdon't havea grillcover, wipe offdust and grime before
startingyour grill.
,Coatingthe cooking gridswith spray-on cookingoil willkeep the
foodfrom stickingand makeclean upeasier.After cooking,
scrape the grates with along handled, brass wire bristlebrush.
,Checkinside thegrill bottomfor grease buildup and clean
often,especially aftercooking fatty meat.
,Donot mistakebrown orblack accumulation of greaseand
smokefor paint. Apply astrong solution of detergentand water
or usea grill cleaner with scrub brushon insides of grill lid and
bottom. Rinse and allow tocompletely air dry.Do notapply a
caustic grillloven cleaner to paintedsurfaces.
Plated wire grates: Washgrates with concentrated grill
cleaneror usesoap andwater solution. Drythoroughly and
store indoors between cookouts.
,Plastic parts: Washwith warm soapywater andwipe dry.
A Do not usecitrisol, abrasive cleaners,degreasers or a
concentrated grillcleaner on plasticparts. Damage toand
failureof parts canresult.
• Porcelain grates: Because of glass-like composition, most
residuecan be wiped awaywith baking soda/water solutionor
speciallyformulated cleaner.Use non-abrasive scouring
powderfor stubborn stains.
Painted surfaces: Washwith milddetergent or nonabrasive
cleanerand warm soapy water.Wipe drywith asoft
nonabrasive cloth.
• Stainless steel surfaces: To maintain your grill's high quality
appearance,wash with mild detergent and warmsoapy water
andwipe drywith asoft clothafter each use.Baked-on grease
depositsmay requirethe useof an abrasive plastic cleaning
pad. Use only in direction ofbrushed finish to avoiddamage.
Donot useabrasive padon areas withgraphics.
• Cooking surfaces: If a bristle brushis usedto clean any of
thegrill cooking surfaces,ensure no loose bristles remainon
cookingsurfaces priorto grilling.It isnot recommended to
cleancooking surfaces whilegrill ishot.

Topreventflashbacksandensuregoodperformancetheburnerand
venturiassemblyshouldberemovedfromthegrill andcleaned
beforeusewheneverthegrillhas beenidle for an extendedperiod.
