Preparation

Although all operations can be controlled from both the 10- key Remote and Keyboard remote control units, do not change the remote control unit in the middle of operation such as character input. Otherwise, characters may not be input correctly.

Searching a disc by the disc title (CHARAC. SEARCH mode)

By inputting the initial letter of the desired disc title, discs which have the disc titles beginning with that character can be searched in sequence.

1Activate the character search mode.

DISPLAY-A : When initial letter “A” is selected.

<A > SEARCH ?

÷The initial letters of disc titles are searched insensitively to the upper- case and lowercase.

÷Lowercase characters cannot be input in the CHARAC. SEARCH mode.

Keyboard

÷To input a symbol, press and hold SHIFT while press the desired numeric/symbol button.

10-key Remote

 

Main unit

÷If a desired character is not provided on the remote control buttons, input the character as follows. Press the CHARACTER (DOWN/UP) buttons or rotating the DISC SKIP knob on the main unit (provided that the OPERATION-Aindicator is lit) until the desired character is dis- played in the flashing cursor position. Then, press the SET button.

÷The type of characters (capital letters or numbers/symbols) is switched each time the CHARAC. button is pressed.

÷The disc titles beginning the specified character will be scrolled in the display.

÷If there is no disc title beginning with the specified character, “NO ENTRY” will be displayed.

To quit CHARAC. SEARCH mode

Press the MODE button.
