Push the Control knob toward up for at least 2 seconds.

•When the <Display Illumination Control> (page 25) is set to OFF, the display may black out while scrolling.

PTY (Program Type)

Selecting the Program Type and searching for a station.

1Enter PTY modePress the Control knob.

During PTY mode the "PTY" indicator is ON.

•The PTY function cannot be used during a traffic bulletin or AM reception.
