Tuner Operation

PTY (Program Type)

Selecting the Program Type below and searching for a station.

Putting the Program Type in the Preset button memory and quick recall.

Presetting the Program Type

1Select the Program Type to preset Refer to <PTY (Program Type)> (page 22).

2Enter Program Type Preset mode Press the [SEARCH MODE] button.

3Select the number to put in the memory Turn the [VOL] knob and press it for at least 2 seconds when the desired item is displayed. Select preset number.

Recalling the preset Program Type

1	Enter PTY mode
	Refer to <PTY (Program Type)> (page 22).
2	Enter Program Type Preset mode
	Press the [SEARCH MODE] button.

•Speech and Music include the Program type shown below.

Speech: Items in the white letters.

Music: Items in the black letters.

1Select the FM band

Press the [SEARCH MODE] button. Select “FM1”, “FM2”, or “FM3”.

2Enter Menu List mode Press the [MENU] button.

3Enter PTY mode

Turn the [VOL] knob and press it when the desired item is displayed.

Select “PTY Search”.

4Select the Program Type Turn the [VOL] knob.

5Search for the selected Program Type station Press the [4] or [¢] button.

6Exit PTY mode

Press the [MENU] button.

•This function cannot be used during a traffic bulletin or AM reception.

•When the selected Program Type is not found, “No PTY” is displayed. Select another Program Type.

•The operation ends automatically if you do not operate within 30 seconds.

3 Select a desired Program Type in the memory

Turn the [VOL] knob and press it when the

desired item is displayed.

Select preset number.

Changing Language for PTY Function

Selecting the Program Type display language as follows.

1Enter PTY mode

Refer to <PTY (Program Type)> (page 22).

2Enter Changing Language mode Press the [VOL] button.

3Select the language

Turn the [VOL] knob and press it when the desired item is displayed.

Select a language.
