To activate the VOX function:
1Connect the headset to the transceiver.
•The VOX function does not activate when a headset is not
connected to the accessory terminal of the transceiver.
2Press and hold the key programmed as VOX.
•The duration for holding the VOX key is programmed by your
dealer.
• The VOX indicator ( ) appears on the display.
3To turn the VOX function OFF, press and hold the VOX
key again.
Note:
◆If a speaker/ microphone is connected to the transceiver while the
VOX function is switched ON and the VOX Gain Level is configured
to a higher, more sensitive level, louder received signals may cause
the transceiver to start transmission.
◆When you operate the VOX function, you must use an optional
KHS-11BL, KHS-12BL, KHS-14, KHS-15-BH, or KHS-15-OH
accessory.
