The Solo-Baric generates more sound pressure than an equivalently-sized round speaker and excels when used in the recommended sealed boxes. These sealed enclosure designs give the smoothest response with increased energy at the lowest frequencies, 20 to 30Hz. These designs deliver massive amounts of highly- accurate bass and can be driven with punishing levels of amplifi er power.

The Solo-Baric high performance suspension system can operate in a larger sealed enclosure. This maximum enclosure volume application is ideal for SQ (ultra sound quality) installations. The SQ enclosure generates a very fl at response curve and superbly extends the sub-bass response.

Solo-Baric woofers perform well in any size sealed enclosure between the Compact and SQ volume recommendations. These systems will exhibit benefi ts of both designs: Compact produces high-impact bass, and SQ generates low bass frequency protraction. Overall, the system will sound more like the recommended enclosure design it is closest to in enclosure volume. These enclosure recommendations have been calculated with the airspace inside the enclosure and include the displacement of the woofer. All sealed-enclosure airspace should be fi lled to 50% loose poly-fi l (polyester fi berfi ll) stuffi ng. Do not make the airspace greater than the SQ, maximum enclosure volume, recommendation.

VENTED ENCLOSURE APPLICATIONS

These boxes are the enclosure of choice for outrageous street bass and high performance SPL contests. If space is not a problem and you want to get the most from your Solo-Baric L3, try one of these ported designs. You will not be disappointed. Solo-Baric subwoofers will handle massive amounts of power in any of the recommended enclosures, minimum or maximum. The smaller enclosures are best for use in limited-space applications. The larger recommended enclosures will yield slightly more bass at the lowest frequencies.

The ported Compact design increases bass effi ciency and fi ts in many space-limited applications. Although it is the smallest recommended ported enclosure, the output from 30 to 80Hz will be considerably higher than that of any sealed box. The ported SQ design has even more output in this crucial frequency band, and is the largest and most effi cient enclosure design.

S12L3, S15L3, S10L3 specifications

Kicker, a renowned name in the audio industry, has consistently pushed the boundaries of performance and quality in its subwoofer offerings. Among its latest innovations are the S10L3, S12L3, and S15L3 subwoofers, each engineered to satisfy the most demanding bass enthusiasts. These models, part of Kicker’s L3 series, combine innovative technology with robust design to deliver deep, thunderous lows.

The Kicker S10L3, featuring a 10-inch woofer, is tailored for those who seek compact yet powerful bass. One of its standout features is the dual voice coil, which allows for versatile wiring configurations, enhancing its compatibility with various amplifiers. This model utilizes a cast aluminum basket to minimize flex during operation, ensuring accurate sound reproduction. The innovative cone design, crafted from injected polypropylene, delivers an exceptional response, even at high volumes.

Up next, the Kicker S12L3 takes the performance a notch higher with its 12-inch woofer diameter. This model shares many technological advancements with the S10L3, including the dual voice coil system. However, it offers enhanced power handling and sensitivity, making it ideal for those seeking a more impactful low-end. The S12L3 is designed with a heavy-duty rubber surround that provides excellent cone support, allowing for maximum excursion and splurging out rich bass notes without distortion.

Lastly, the Kicker S15L3, with its impressive 15-inch driver, delivers an unmatched audio experience. This model is particularly well-suited for larger setups where substantial bass is needed. It features Kicker's proprietary corner-loading technology, which optimizes the sound waves produced for greater impact and clarity. The S15L3 is known for its high-temperature voice coil that can withstand rigorous use without degrading performance, ensuring longevity even in challenging environments.

All three models in the S series share Kicker's commitment to quality, featuring robust build materials and advanced engineering. The subwoofers are designed for efficient heat dissipation, which extends their lifespan and enhances reliability. With a multitude of power handling options, they can accommodate various amplifier outputs, making them versatile enough for both casual listeners and hardcore audiophiles.

In conclusion, the Kicker S10L3, S12L3, and S15L3 subwoofers exhibit a harmonious blend of power, precision, and innovation. With their unique technologies and characteristics, these subwoofers stand out as exceptional choices for anyone looking to elevate their audio experience. Whether you prioritize compact efficiency or massive bass output, Kicker’s L3 series delivers across the board.
