SL177i specifications

The Kidde SL177i is a state-of-the-art smoke and carbon monoxide alarm that prioritizes the safety of your home and loved ones. Offering advanced technology and innovative features, the SL177i is designed to provide reliable warning signals for both smoke and carbon monoxide hazards.

One of the standout features of the Kidde SL177i is its dual-sensor technology. This model employs both photoelectric and ionization sensing methods, which enhances its ability to detect various types of fires. The photoelectric sensor is particularly effective for smoldering fires, which may not produce much flame but can generate significant smoke. On the other hand, the ionization sensor is more responsive to fast-flaming fires. This dual capability means it can alert you to potential dangers more effectively than traditional single-sensor alarms.

In addition to its fire detection features, the Kidde SL177i incorporates a reliable carbon monoxide sensor. Carbon monoxide is a silent killer; it is colorless, odorless, and tasteless. The SL177i continuously monitors CO levels in the environment and will sound an alarm when dangerous levels are detected, ensuring your family's safety from this hazardous gas.

Another key characteristic of the Kidde SL177i is its user-friendly design. It includes a large, easy-to-read digital display that provides vital information about the current CO levels in your home, as well as the status of the unit. This display allows homeowners to keep track of air quality, giving peace of mind.

The device also features a voice alert system that clearly indicates whether smoke or CO has been detected. This feature helps to differentiate between the types of alarms and can reduce confusion during an emergency. Additionally, the unit is equipped with a test/reset button, making it easy for users to conduct routine checks to ensure the unit is functioning optimally.

The Kidde SL177i is powered by both AC with a battery backup, ensuring it remains operational during power outages. Its compact design allows for easy installation in various locations throughout the home.

Overall, the Kidde SL177i combines cutting-edge technology with user-friendly features, making it an indispensable addition to any home safety strategy. Its robust detection capabilities and intuitive alerts help to protect families from the dangers of smoke and carbon monoxide, offering peace of mind for homeowners.
