In Review mode, a
blue or black
screen is displayed
instead of a
picture.
■Transfer the picture to the computer (page15).
Shutter button
does not work.
■Turn on the camera (page2).
■Wait until the ready light stops blinking red befor e attempting to take
another picture.
■Transfer pictures to the computer (page 15), delete pictures from the
camera (page13), switch image storage locations (page 26), or
insert a card with available memory (page4).

Slide show does
not run on external
video device.
■Adjust the camera Video Out setting (NTSC or PAL, page28).

Picture is too light. ■Move so there is at least 3.3 ft (1.0 m) between camera and subject.
■Decrease Exposure Compensation (page25).
Picture is not cle ar. ■Clean the lens (page55).
■Move so there is at least 3.3 ft (1.0 m) between the camera and the
subject.
■Place the camera on a flat, steady surface or us e a tripod.
Picture is too dark. ■Turn on the flash (page8).
■Move so there is n o more than 7.9 ft (2.4 m) bet ween the camera and
the subject.
■Use Fill flash (page24) or change your pos ition so light is not behind
the subject.
