Capturing Images

This chapter provides an overview of the things you need to do to capture and manage

images. Much of the information is described in greater detail in other parts of the manual.

Preparing to Capture an Image

1Hold the KODAK PROFESSIONAL DCS 700 Series Digital Camera properly.

2Stand with one foot forward a half step to balance your body.

3Grasp the camera hand grip with your right hand.

4Use your left hand to cradle the camera with your elbow propped against your body for

support, as you look through the viewfinder. Use your right index finger to press the

Shutter Release button.

5Check that nothing gets between your camera and the desired scene:

✔Do not block the lens with your hair or hand.

✔When capturing an image without looking through the viewfinder, make sure

nothing (such as your camera strap) is between your camera and the subject.

✔Do not block the flash during flash photography.
