Operation

Take the canister from the canister shaft and remove the protective foil.

Remove the protective cap from the canister and keep it in a safe place. Lay the canister into the canister shaft with the nozzle pointing to the front. There by, ensure that the notch on the edge of the canister is facing upwards and the blocking lever can engage with it.

Check that the flame is burning. If not, turn the regulator valve back to the OFF position and repeat the ignition procedure.

Notice

This appliance is to be operated exclusively with MSF-1a Butane-Canisters. It may be hazardous to attempt to fit other types of gas containers.

In the event of using similary constructed butane canisters, these must conform with Standard EN 417.

Press the clamping lever into position I and check to ensure that the notch on the canister fits into the blocking lever at the valve.

Manual background Important!

Should you hear or smell escaping gas, Immediately return the clamping lever back to start position 0 and remove the canister.

In this case, wait until any possibly escaped gas has evaporated before attempting to reinsert the canister.

Close the shaft cover.

Turn the regulator valve anti-clockwise, to the left

and the ignition position Manual background , until you hear the clicking of the automatic igniter and the flame is lit.

Operation

To ensure that unburnt gas cannot escape, always ensure that the flame does not go out.

Manual background Attention:

Butane gas is heavier than air and can collect on the ground. Open flames or sparks can ignite the gas. If you have determined or suspect the escape of unburnt gas, Immediately place the regulator valve at the position OFF! Return the clamping lever back to the start position 0 and wait until any possibly escaped gas has evaporated before attempting a reignition.

Under no circumstances should you use pots and pans that are larger than the catchment bowl, otherwise the canister shaft could overheat.

Ensure that the burner head does not becomes soiled by overflowing foodstuffs.

Regulate the strength of the flame with the regulator valve so that you do not waste energy unneces- sarily.
